You
can download from here a 15Kb zipped .xls file for use in
Microsoft Excel to calculate your EGA handicap. If you
play in a competition in Spain your playing handicap will be
adjusted under the Slope system which means you can either
gain or lose shots depending on the course in question.

The
screen grab below shows the output of a
program to calculate your EGA handicap for all the Costa del Sol
courses.
Just
enter the player name, base handicap and colour tees you play
off (white, yellow, blue or red), then select the various
courses to see what your EGA handicap is for that course.
The
resultant printout only prints the box with the green background
headings.
The
spreadsheet includes Slope, CV, Par and course length data
for all the Costa del Sol courses. Let me know if you
think it is useful or can suggest any changes etc, I just wrote
this to get my head around the new EGA system and am not a
programmer so apologies if there is a far simpler way of working
it out.
