Stalham used to have 2 Street Fairs, one in the Spring and the other, just before Christmas. The High Street was closed to traffic. Stalls, amusements, sideshows and all the shops stay open late and there was usually a theme, this  was Dickinson and some of the shop staff take the theme to heart and dress up in appropriate costumes.  Alas they are no more.
