Inside the Cottage Bakery  If you want to taste bread like your mother used to make, the Cottage Bakery is the place go. Mike the baker makes all the dough himself from traditional bakers flour and yeasts. As soon as you enter the shop, the smell is wonderful, lots of lovely cakes too, perhaps I should have a link to a slimming page here ;-)

They also do a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and pies to takeaway for a nice summer picnic on the Broads.

The original bake house was located at the corner of the High Street and Upper Staithe Road, (now a shoe shop). Although the current bakers shop is on the corner of Baker Street, the road was believed to have been named after a local person.
